All-Star Survivor: Alaska Preview

Alaska.

The name conjures up images of ice. Snow. Cold. But more than that, Alaska is a world of nature. It is a place where nature has remain unchecked, since the beginning of time. And this December, sixteen Americans will be playing the ultimate survival game, in the greatest nature preserve on Earth.

Sixteen Americans will be stranded in Denali National Park, a massive park and forest in Alaska's wild interior. It is a popular tourist destination, but few dare to take on nature in its backcountry. Filled with miles and miles of trees, tundra, water, and wilderness, it is a much different place than most imagine. In the summers, the land is ruled by caribou, wolverines, mosquitoes, and the king of the Alaskan wilderness, the grizzly bear. It also contains some of the most spectacular vistas and views found in nature, topped by the largest mountain in North America, Mount McKinley.
